My kid is asthmatic and high risk. It's difficult to maneuver virtual as a mom and a nurse but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

All elementary students should have the right to virtual learning,not just a limited amount of children. It's like saying student# 1 has a right to stay safe at home, but sorry student#2. You get to contract Covid.

My daughter has high anxiety and is on medication. She has been stressing out about school since last week and doesn’t want to go because no one in elementary can be vaccinated and no safety protocols are in place. If masks can’t be mandated and the everyone is forced to go in person, why not at the very least keep all the safety protocols you had in place last year for this year? Also, you should give the elementary first choice of virtual since no one can be vaccinated. We certainly pay enough in taxes to cover virtual! Isn’t the goal to teach the kids in a safe environment? For some kids, like mine, virtual is the safest place. She can focus and no stress if at home. She won’t be at her best and open to learning if she has to go in person.

We need the virtual learning option irrespective of kids or families have conditions or not because right now texas leads in child Covid 19 hospitalisations .. also we need masks mandates to avoid this situation to stress quarantine or go to hospital .. if masks can be freedom of choice why can’t be online learning a choice ???

By not mandating masks and not having a virtual option takes away our rights and confidence that our children will be safe in school. Without a mask mandate and no virtual option I will unenroll my child and home school.
