Are there any stories of lighters without fuel or flints self igniting in the post?

As a lighter collector living overseas I find these rules ridiculous. Some of the best/nicest lighters come out of the UK and to deny people living outside the UK access to these lighters is just wrong.

For years we have had a great relationship of free trade and safety regarding our hobby. I want to protest the unreasonable restriction that include collectable cigarette lighters. The lighters can be historical items of our past and free trade should never be restricted or confiscated.

This new law would prevent The Dunhill Museum from acquiring lighters from abroad. It would also stifle trade in cigarette lighters between the UK and any other nation. It's ludicrous!
