Recently, employees at LBJ TMC have taken to writing a petition to the governor for the removal of the current CEO to LBJ Hospital. At this point we have not received any resolution, and I want the public to know what we employees at LBJ TMC feel about this current administration. The current status at the hospital is not good, and we need, as employees, citizens, and Samoans to do something before a "non-Samoan" makes things worse. LBJ TMC has been here before, but during our difficult times we have been able to get assistance from the Governor, but that was when we had a Samoan sitting at the helm. With the last 3 CEO's, all from off island, LBJ TMC has not realized any real changes. They don't understand the culture, nor do they want to understand the fa'a Samoa way. There are changes to the infrastructure, but that is due to DOI monies, for a plan to change by the Samoan CEO. Other than that, we have little to none new technology. If there is any technology, it is based on the perseverance of department heads to get what they need to provide quality healthcare. We are suffering silently. Please review the attached letter.
