**************PLEASE READ ENTIRE STATEMENT PRIOR TO SIGNING. IMPORTANT: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR COMPANY NAME IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. The reason for this petition is to gather support for a new kind of Health Permit for Food Vendors at Special Events in Long Beach, CA. Currently, whether you are a brick and mortar restaurant in Long Beach or not, if you want to vend at a Special Event, you must apply for the Health Department's Temporary Food Facility Permit which is a minimum of $71 and a maximum of $130. These fees, added to the fee that most event producers charge to vend at the event end up out-pricing some really great vendors due to their lower price points.
If you are a FOOD vendor and think you would participate in 10+Long Beach Special Events in a 12 month period, this petition is for you! Please sign only if you are an actual food vendor, not just in support of the movement. We'd like a clean petition of serious vendors only. Only one representative/vendor need sign so we don't have an inflated number of interested parties. IMPORTANT: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR COMPANY NAME IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. The new permit we are aiming for would be similar to the annual permit available for Farmers Markets.
