Why? Why mess with a landmark? Why interfere with a successful business? Why endanger a business that not only employs locals, but contributes so much to the community? Rather than threaten a successful business, go enjoy the best hamburger in Costa Rica, chat with the friendly staff and listen to the music so unique to the Caribbean side.

We are residents of Costa Rica, have stayed in Puerto Viejo for several days last year, and are looking forward to a longer stay this year. The Lazy Mon, with its cheerful Caribe atmosphere, great food and drink, and upbeat live music is one of the main reasons we love Puerto Viejo. Silencing this happy, energetic venue will tarnish our feeling for this wonderful place. Please allow The Lazy Mon to continue its Live Music tradition. It benefits ALL of Puerto Viejo, after all, by drawing more visitors who spend more money.

Staying at The Lazy Mon was one of the many highlights of my trip to Central America and it was all because of the fantastic live music, awesome staff and laid back vibe that this establishment was able to offer. Keep The Lazy Mon the way it is, so locals and tourists alike can continue to enjoy this iconic site, as the beautiful meeting hub it is, whilst still listening to live music.

No Way! Lazy Mon is an integral part of the spirit of Puerto Viejo, take away the music, you take away the soul. This is El Caribe, a place where people come especially to connect to life and all that if offers. this would be criminal, everyone who comes to PUERTO heads for this place.
