Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) is a megachurch with a large following and its recent clergy-led obsession with homosexual sex has adverse effects on the quality of its sermonising and its social services.
We note that the Senior Pastor Apostle Lawrence Khong currently devotes a large proportion of his time writing elaborate Facebook posts on homosexuality, and has a rather obvious obsession with bestiality and pedophilia, as evidenced by the contents of his Facebook page.
We urge Senior Pastor Apostle Lawrence Khong to do the following:
- Seek help from international experts in mental health on his obsession with gay sex
- Read the Bible a little bit more often, especially the parts on "love"
- Return to his flock and minister to them, to provide the leadership they are currently lacking while he heads out into the big, evil, gay world to battle the forces of darkness
We the gay people of Singapore say amen to Lawrence Khong's desire to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world and we pray for his soul and redemption so that he may one day be saved from his current obsession with homosexual sexual acts, some of which are far more elaborate than even gay people know them to be.

I have been reading through the deeply personal stories you are leaving in the comments and it is clear that this fixation on our lives is causing genuine pain within our families. The silence from the church leadership is telling but I am currently reaching out to community leaders to ensure that his rhetoric about us does not go unchallenged.

Seeing this level of response confirms that I am not the only one deeply concerned by the tone coming from FCBC. This momentum shows that many of us are tired of the constant preoccupation with our lives instead of genuine community care.

I agree with this seemingly facetious petition. For far too long we have placed ourselves in the position where we examine deviant behaviour under a microscope; we forget to interrogate the reasons for our inane obsession with deviance. It is timely, thus, that Pastor Khong be reminded of his obsession.
Pope Francis says that it is up to no one to judge and that the catholic Church has had their priorities wrong in trying to dictate/ control how the lgbt community lives their lives. I believe Pastor Khong ought to reflect on that message and understand how Jesus would have treated those that were marginalised and scorned upon and not spread hate in the guise of his word
Countries who allowed homosexual unions havent imploded. So i dont know what your claims are about. I sure hope you arent another Tad Haggard.
As a pastor he should dedicating his time helping people in need and providing moral support instead of targeting and vilifying gays. He needs help and if necessary be put down as presentative of Christianity.
He lacks the moral Christian principle in his admonition of homosexual. He hates them instead of loving them.
Why is he so obsessed with getting the attention of gay people? It's like he really wants in with our crowd.

Lawrence Khong thinks about gay sex much, much more than any of my gay friends.
