I'm an '09 MSU Business/Marketing grad (Go Bulldogs!!) and my little sister is a freshman there. I think this would be AWESOME considering college students already have to live on such a tight budget and pinch pennies. Saving the cost of a few loads of laundry could mean having a few more dollars to buy a more substantial meal (needed for that brain power to study!!) or help with fuel costs, etc.. (There is obviously an endless list of what these expenses could be for any given student.) It would be great for this to be one less thing that a young adult adjusting to college life has to worry about :)

If I am going to pay this much for laundry, I expect machines that won't ruin my clothes at the absolute least and even detergent and fabric softener. I live in critz where the machines are dirty, make my clothes smell very unpleasant and I spend a fortune just to wash a few loads of clothes. I have started going to friends houses to wash my clothes because it's free and doesn't make me smell like mildew. I refuse to pay for it anymore. MSU needs free laundry at the least, if not cleaner machines in general.

As a parent of a MSU student I must agree! Discount it and but it into the housing fee or make it free. My daughter has had issue with the machines in her dorm and if other campuses are making it free MSU should follow suit.

I lived in Oak for 2 years and Hurst for 1 year. Laundry is TOO expensive on campus.
