This Petition is in the regards to the Alleged Behaviours of Launceston city councillor and former Mayor Danny Gibson and further alleged historical sexual misconducts whist on council.
These are not the Behaviours of some one that should be representing launceston.
Danny has also refused to front up on any of these allegations and is currently on leave and being paid for by rate payers since the ABC Journalist April McLennan made shocking reports on Dannys Alleged misconducts in september 2024.
9k has been paid with an alleged further 5k paid to Dannys Lawyers. Was this money used also to silence victims and family members of victims.?
It is also stated in the Examiner that former CEO michael stretton and Deputy Everhardt approved such payments.
Councillor Walker has called for an investigation.
Councillor Gibson must either resign or be stood down by Local government minister Kerry Vincent immediately.

I honestly never expected the momentum to build this quickly but seeing so many people agreeing that these payments are wrong really keeps me going. It makes me wonder how much longer they can try to look the other way while we keep asking these questions about where our rates are actually going.

This man should not be allowed any support from the council or tax payers money in anyway. The money spent on him could have been used in other areas in Launceston. I find this man should fund his own legal expenses. This is a disgrace from the council and Danny should be ashamed of himself.
I am signing this petition with hope of justice for all the young male underage and male men who are victims and afraid to speak for all the sexual misconduct/atrocities that Danny Gibson did it to them. Please give justice to the victims that are traumatised for those events.
Danny must must resign all thats been in the paper is an utter disgrace shame on you danny. Launceston deserves better
He is vile, and his job should not be taken into consideration when sentencing him. Somebody like that should not be in any kind of position of power. Put him behind bars, answering to someone in a position of power. Given the chance, he’d do it again. Disgusting human.
He needs to be removed from lton council immediately.

I can only hope Councillor Gibson does the right this by ratepayers and resigns as occurred when allegations were raised against the disgraced former Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle
