The Lauakea Foundation and Halau Ka Waikahe Lani Malie of Auckland, NZ, is currently
working towards approval of the first ever, Hawaiian Village in the annual Pasifika Festival.
In order to achieve this huge task we must gain the support of Hawaiian residents and
Hawaiians at heart within Aotearoa. This Petition will be added to our R&D to ensure
that the responsible parties for these approvals will be in our favor and grant us this
historical opportunity to have and to host the first ever, Hawaiian Village. Your support
will indicate that you know who we are and the work we do and that we are a legitimate
organization with integral qualities and principals approving the Lauakea Foundation's
ability to host, coordinate, and organize such a huge undertaking. With the support of all
Hawaiians and Hawaiians alike, this petition will also allow us to unite in strength and
to fulfill great works, deeds, and tasks for the betterment of all Hawaiians in Aotearoa and
all walks of life. Kumu Hula, Blaine Kamalani Kia & Aruna Po-Ching have gained and earned
the respect of prominent individuals and organizations in Auckland in which to conduct
their work under the art of Hawaiian dance (hula) and to expand their work and
cultural ways and means beyond the walls of the halau (house of hula). We ask for
your "kokua" and to place your name in support of our efforts.
