I believe that at QA school starts too early. Students have to be at school at 7am every morning, which means that students often have to wake up at 6am (or earlier) to get to school on time. Studies have shown that teenagers that wake up later tend to have better grades. It is a fact that students brains do not function as well early in the morning as they do later on.
The administration is still ignoring the science while forcing students to drag themselves into classrooms at dawn. I am tired of being told that our exhaustion is just part of the process. We are keeping the pressure on the board until they acknowledge that these start times are hurting our health.
