We want our takeaway shop to be able to get the same late-night licencing hours as McDonalds. We support Takeaways United in their represention on behalf of the independent takeaways of Edinburgh. We think it’s unfair that the larger retail chains, like Dominos, MacDonalds, Tescos and all-night garages, get licencing hours up till 5am or all night. Our local takeaway can only get a licence to 3am. This makes it harder for it to compete. The Council should set the same closing time of 3.45am for all.
