Thanks to last.fm I found many people with a common music taste, but now... it's hard to find them or send a friend request to them, which sucks. The new last.fm sucks.

We need a new Last.fm scrobbler for all the platforms not a new site. For years it has been buggy and no fixes, the core foundation of Last.fm relies on scrobbling, without it, it's just an omelet without egg.

The new website is just terrible! I hate it! Last.fm was perfect how it's been - Just some fixes but fuck this just completely sucks. Why couldn't they make the leap to go like oldschool Myspace, but no, we get this terrible disgusting half-working bullshit. Even when it's done, it's ugly - It sucks - I hate it - A lot of users, short and long time users, seem to hate the fuck out of it.
Please re-consider this Last.fm or many users will turn into dead weight.

Please revert back to the original Last.fm or give the option of using both the original and new website.
The new Last.fm layout is badly designed and not user friendly.
It has lost it's sense of community and purpose.
Groups have been removed.
You can't add photos or widgets on your Profile.
The old school scrobble counter has gone.
I could mention many more other faults of the new website.

Yeah seriously this beta is an abysmal failure. Really still have no clue exactly how they broke back-end functionality with what appears to be primarily a cosmetic change, and, frankly, a less than desirable cosmetic change to boot.
Last.fm, assuming that one of your goals with this beta involved some manner of satisfaction for your users, please understand that, as far as I and many others can tell, you have failed miserably. Like, Windows ME-level failure.

Most personalization and community features (adding friends, tagging, groups built over years), indispensable features (uploading missing artwork), neat and user-friendly look (clear album presentation, history, stats, recommendations) are sacrificed for the sake of a more tablet/iPhone-friendly layout, unintelligible presentation, complicated navigation, reduced interaction and personalization options. Introduction of Tweeter-style social network features was redundant for the most part, and the number of industry ads is nauseating. The sense of isolation and lack of meaningful interaction on the new site makes one feel discouraged from coming back as often as it used to be, that “deaf in a tank” feeling, as they say in my place.
Most of the userbase are adults who invested a lot of time and effort to help last.fm grow into what it’s now (or, should we say, used to be) and have mature and informed taste in music to care about corporation paid news (Rihanna or Justin Bieber, no harm intended). This overhaul won’t attract younger and greater userbase that largely don’t use last.fm, and, coupled with a total lack of reaction or respect for community feedback, will only put off existing users. So, go on and pretend we, the naysayers, are just a bunch of retrograde wimps that are too dumb to appreciate the novelty and growth. Best of luck with the ongoing self-destruction!

I've been using Last.FM for seven years now. I can't continue to use this service with how abominable this new design is. Please revert back to the simplistic, unbroken design that we collectively mourn.
