Remove the last.fm Beta Website Design

I support this so much I am cancelling my subscription effective October 1st if probs not sorted by Last.fm

As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." There was nothing wrong with the site design before, in fact there was a certain charm to it's simplicity. Now the site looks gaudy to me, like a cheap copy of so many other site designs that already exist. I hate that we can't use HTML to customize our pages anymore, I hate the circle icon crops, I HATE the "Around the Web" ads in the corner. I miss album art next to my scrobbles, I miss events and event history. I think the worst part is being forced into something that's still in beta and seemingly nowhere near being complete. This design should have stayed optional until it was out of beta. I do like some of the new graphs and such, but would like to see some of the old design elements return. I hope last.fm will listen to their userbase.

Just want my old last.fm back

All the things I visited site for are gone, I can't see my events or my history. I also think that tha communications and updates have been poor. Can't believe that they really wrote that comment that it could be months!

They've totally messed this up, everything we liked about Last.Fm is no longer there, the taste-o-meter, the html in the about me, the individual profiles, the communities. They need to either switch it back, or at least listen to us and implement the things we loved most about the old site into this new one, and do it quick

I agree to all what you have been writing. This site is now empty, soulless, cold, no freedom of individuality, you found the right words and this is what every people is feeling. How dare they ! I do not scrobble anymore, I let my profile dying and it's a pity. As soon as I shall have find another good place, I shall delete all. All souvenirs are gone, no music anymore, no friends as they were before, all shouts which were full of music talks and laughters are all gone too and the About You I tried to personalize disappeared. IT IS A PURE SHAME.

I don't understand why a site would persist with its new design when 90+% of users hate it. When it is quite nearly unanimous that the people who actually use the site hate it, it's time to admit defeat and make some serious changes. I'm not even aware of a massive outcry that there was anything substantially wrong with the old site. I;ve been a user for a decade now, and nearly all of my data disappeared in an instant. What reason do I (or any of us) have to stay now?

delete The new last.fm is a disgrace. I'm a member since (soon) 10 years, it was one of my absolute favourite sites on the net and I especially loved the oldschoolness about it, but now it is one of the worst sites online and I am just grieving what you have done to it. Also that you would just make my over 1400 shouts disappear without giving me the option to download/save them, how dare you! So many memories that makes those "charts" so special, just gone, over night, without informing us. You will die the "myspace-death"! And I wait for the day that someone out there will do an alternative scrobble chart community that will rival you, so I can finally say goodbye. Last.fm was always about being individual, finding other people with similar individual taste, but now every profile looks the same: empty, soulless, cold, no freedom of individuality (200 limit in the about me!? No html!? No taste-o-meter!? Come on!) How does it feel to have dug your own grave?

I remember finding out about last.fm years ago, and it was like a dream come true. The new version is more of a nightmare...

yes, the "old" last.fm is superior in literally every sense.

​​​I am strongly disappointed with new Last.fm: 1.Why did you move to Spotify? Spotify player is significantly different thing. Spotify is a music streaming service. Last.fm was something more, it charted music taste and proposed music streaming based on taste, trends, mood in certain period of time. That was awesome & brilliant algorithm. Now it is gone. 2. Where is comparison of music taste between friends & users? Now I can't find any friend with the same music taste. Where are music neighbours? How can I discover new music now if I don't see what people with similar music taste listen to? 3. Where are music recommendations to artist that are scrobbled from my PC? Recommendations that were key thing differentiates Last.fm from others. Now I can't discover new music at all. I have heartbroken. Last.fm have been helping me to develeop my music taste, get to know more artist, find intresting events for many years. That is disaster. 4. Where are proposed events to the artists that are scrobbled by me? I knew few best friends due to Last.fm and met them during event proposed by Last.fm. Now it is impossible to develop music awareness and social relations. Was it your aim? Think about this To sum up, I will not move to Spotify but I will not use Last.fm anymore if changes stay. I hope you will re-design current Last.fm changes & you will restore and even reclaim to past solutions that were perfect & unique. Yes - briliant & unique that were the best points for former Last.fm algorithm - now that is an embarrassing defeat.

last.fm ruined our beloved site! Most functions, which made last.fm so special are gone! I cannot even check my FRIENDS libraries anymore!!! :( I cannot check my own library either!!! Where are our tags, beloved songs list, our side bar etc??????? The FRIENDS-list is a mess!!!! The whole new website is a big disappointment! If it ain't broke....you really broke it with the new design. Your not spotify, you're last.fm, . Stop trying to make it look slick & win10, it was fine as it was.
