Hey, if other retro formats such as vinyl can have new hardware (and even software) created... why not laserdiscs? I'd love to have an all in one system like this!

LaserDisc should be revived as the even the composite video of the format does hold up well on many HDTVs and the upconverters and separate scalers out in stores should be heavily marketed to LD buffs with HDTVs.

As time goes by, true quality players are slowly dwindling in numbers due to parts breaking, which are no longer being manufactured. Even though software is no longer made for this medium, there are still many movie collectors, who appreciate this format for what it has to offer and for the software available, where a lot of it is still not (if ever) available on newer formats. With current developments in tech and the lower prices in quality components, it should be possible to make the ultimate LaserDisc multi-format player.
