I've had enough. We need authentic, a-partisan solutions for this chaotic, runaway, overwhelming problem.

This madness has got to stop, and we're the only ones who can stop it.

This may not be effective but we should all try to do everything we can.

These horrific events are becoming the norm, and we must take a stand. Thank you, Times, for your outstanding work. I look forward to reading more about this important issue.

We have to stop random shootings Having access to assault weapons and unlimited ammo. Allows anybody who does these crimes the upper hand on law abiding citizens.

Agree with W. Brent above. No amount of gun control will stop an evil or sick person from getting a gun. We must focus on methods to identify, the issues and their solutions of those who will practice terrorism, violence, mental illness, anger, hatred, and religious fanaticism.

I agree with this pledge as written. Enough of the violence. But if this is a veiled attempt to promote taking guns away from everyone, including the good citizens, please take my name off. The only way to fight this fire is with fire of our own. There should be no "gun-free zones". This is an invitation to the evil. Tighten laws to keep them out of the hands of mentally ill and terrorists. Leave them in the hands of people trained to use them so these incidents can be stopped in their tracks. We have the right to defend ourselves.
