Seems LV is 'getting rid' of a LOT that helped put Vegas on the map! Showgirls and Shows are such a HUGE Part of LV History...Please reconsider keeping the Museum up and running.

Sounds like perhaps a bigger business once to open up their own museum and once these guys out of the way.. With social media and such, I can't imagine that they could get away with charging people if they're not supposed to.. Nevertheless, perhaps to make both sides happy, they should have a sign that is mandatorily up at all times stating that they only take donations..

This museum is fascinating and holds such an integral part of Las Vegas history. Grant Philipo is a wealth of information during the tour with stories about the costumes, history, etc. There were NO tickets to purchase, just the request of a donation if you see fit. Why wouldn't you want to donate? His time is worth it alone, nonetheless what you walk away with!

I think to close this museum would be denying people one of the important pieces of our past that makes Las Vegas what it is! What is Vegas with NO showgirls?!

A foolish move by a foolish county commission known for making bad decisions. Unless they want to give them an alternate county owned location and lease it to them indefinitely for $1.00 a year like they have for their other "pet projects" which have turned out to be a complete sham! Leave the Showgirl Museum ALONE- it's not bothering anyone.

To close this museum is to turn your back on the history of this city.

Vegas is always in a state of flux as is fitting this great city but there are some things that should remain intact reminding us of the beginning of Las Vegas, those showgirls were a major part of attracting tourists.

This is a great part of our city's history...a shame that the last production show is set to close. We as citizens need to preserve this beautiful collection of the days of true glamour in entertainment.
