It's long over due. Let's put him in there where he belongs. He earned the right to be there.

Coy was probably the most underrated defensive linemen in my generation and I'm 60 years old. Between Coy coming into the league before sacks were an official stat and having the bad luck of playing on some not very good teams with not very good defensive lines it seems the decks were and are stacked against him. When in fact it only made his numbers more impressive, Most of the time he was the one facing the double teams and the primary focus of other teams blocking schemes because he was the best player on the field, yet he still put up HOF numbers and play which have been forgotten over time.
On a personal note Coy was one of the nicest most unselfish people I have ever met. He would have given his friends anything they asked for if they needed help. He was often giving to a fault letting others take advantage of him but he didn't let it bother him. When I spent time with Coy I knew I would be doing a lot of laughing also! He had a great sense of humor.
The football field and the world is a better place for having had Coy in it! Its just too bad the NFL doesn't know it.
