Question yall should ask yourself..
How can a man have the record for sacks regardless if they did not keep track of the stat or not
He has the record and they played 3 or 4 less games.

Coy Bacon was a very great football star. He deserves to be in the hall of fame. I was fortunate to know him. He was the father of my childhood best friend. Chandra Bacon. He was just an all around great man. Inside and out.

Very proud of Coy; went to school with him. Ran into him and his family after his retirement at Bob Evans. Such a thrill!

My dad, Bill Morgan, played with Coy at Ironton. Always said Coy was big and could hit hard.

Coy came to speak at my school ( Lawrence Street ) when I was in the 4th grade and inspired all of us to study hard, play hard and stay out of trouble. He was a great roll model for going beyond the flood walls of racism and see the greatness in everyone.

I remember vividly when Coy came to High School and in football practice, newcomers held the dummy for downfield blocking. Guess who had to block Coy; like hitting a brick wall.
