From: Concerned Postal Customers and Postal Employees We, the undersigned residents of Lancaster, PA and surrounding communities are adamantly opposed to the US Postal Service moving any mail processing operations out of the Processing and Distribution Center located in Lancaster, Pa. to the Harrisburg, Pa. Facility or any other processing center. We are opposed to this for many reasons including: *Loss of our current overnight delivery standard to the surrounding communities *Loss of our Lancaster postmark identity *Loss of jobs to the City of Lancaster and surrounding communities and resulting negative impact upon the city, its residents and businesses Therefore, we call upon you to ensure every possible effort is made now to prevent the local mail processing operations from being moved out of the Lancaster Processing and Distribution Facility.
