YOUR HELP is NEEDED BEFORE May 15, 2017!!!
We must save our Pastor and our Parish!!!

Due to the merger of three parishes, Lakeville will be losing our ecumencial Parish and Pastor, Father Joe. Please sign this petition to show your support of keeping Father Joe and St. Mary's in our community!

Letters, Emails, & Calls are also needed! Our voice must be heard by contacting the following:

  • St. Mary's is the only Parish with increased attendance and reception of the sacraments, plus financial stability.
  • St. Mary's organized an active committee to bring the Syrian family into Salisbury
  • Fr. Joe says Mass on the Hotchkiss campus for students and at Noble Horizons for elderly.
  • St. Mary’s serves Kildonan School, parishioners from Millerton now that St. Patrick’s has closed.
  • Fr. Joe has been able to revive attendance.
  • Fr Joe is an ecumenical pastor with participation from the Jewish community as well as other churches. organized lectures, book club, musical events open to community
  • Pope Francis has stressed the need for an ecumenical church, and Fr. Joe just had a mass for deceased parishioner which was outstanding for the inclusivity demonstrated.

Father Joe has been the heart of our community for so long and seeing the numbers rise shows I am not the only one who refuses to lose his guidance. We are pushing toward two hundred and fifty names so please send this link to your neighbors right now. If we reach this milestone it proves to the Archbishop that our parish is a home worth fighting for.

Father Joe has been the heart of our community for so long and seeing the signature count climb toward one hundred proves I am not the only one who refuses to lose him. We are nearing this milestone but we need to reach it now so the leadership understands how many lives he has touched. Please put this out on your own feeds so we can hit that mark before it is too late for our parish.

Please save the Parish and Pastor Joe. They are such an important part of our community. Among the many activities that stand out, one is the support of our local food pantry serving hundreds of individuals each week.

Father Joe has been an asset to the community as well as the church. He has significantly improved the inter-faith relations. The programs he has held at St. Mary's church such as Tenebrae and concerts have helped grow the parish.

This church has been in my family for six generations. This is heartbreaking. Next weekend my second son will be baptized here. Sad to think it may be one of last times our family will be there. Praying something positive takes place to rectify the situation. ❤️

Losing St. Mary's and Father Joe would be a great disservice to the Lakeville/Salisbury community. Please, do not do away with a beautiful church and its intelligent, kind and thoughtful pastor. Both fill the spiritual and communal needs of many.

I am not Catholic. However, I have had the distinct honor of talking with Father Joe on numerous occasions. He is truly a rare gem that needs to stay with his beloved parishioners in Lakeville

Please keep Father Joe at St. Mary's Church. He has been with us for many years. He has been t here for us through the good and the bad. Weddings, celebrations , and the care and comfort he has given people at funeral Masses etc. is so important. We have gotten to know, love and trust this man, please keep St. Mary's parish open and Father Joe there.
