I totally agree with everything said in the petition and it relates to the issues faced on North Bay Road where my home is. I might also add that with this number of unanswered questions, it is unconscionable to start this until there are satisfactory answers. I have run some very large companies and if one of my managers came to me with this number of unanswered questions, I would throw the person out of my office.

I'm very concerned about our neighborhoods and whether they will be enhanced by these proposals.

The North Bay Road residents are changing our minds about this road project. We do not want our trees, palmsw, bushes driveways, etc. estroyed by the city and NOT replaced in kind. This is a taking that we must be compensated for if the city goes ahead with this under-studied and ill-conceived project. There is still time here to study this problem thoroughly and not rush to judgement and action. Our neighborhood association may come out against this project.

Is there any possibility of having the power lines buried while the streets are dug up?

To all the list please add when flooding occurs to our gardens, we will be breeding ground for mosquitoes

FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND IT IS ILLEGAL FOR RESIDENTS TO DUMP WATER FROM THEIR PROPERTY ONTO CITY STREETS. IS IT LEGAL FOR THE CITY TO DUMP WATER ON RESIDENT PROPERTY? THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN STREETS ARE RAISED.

Why is the city planning to start working in Lakeview this Fall before working on other more flood-susceptible areas around Miami Beach?

I agree with Ben's comment on the design build. This means they will bid the project first and then the contractor that wins bid design it. So how are we suppose to know what this will look like in our neighborhood in advance? How will we then be guaranteed that our concerns with whatever the design is are addressed and/or remedied after a bid has already been awarded and money spent by the City on this project? I also agree that this project will cause our properties to have water damage and am very concerned about this. I have asked the City for an example of a residential property that elected harmonization in prior work they have done in other areas and still none has been provided.

My family and I have resided on Lakeview Drive since 1978; our home was built in 1941 and our family is the third owner. The plans for the Lakeview neighborhood will destroy our community - which is a walkable, friendly, joyous neighborhood - all to remedy something that doesn't even happen on our streets. We do not have floods on the streets here; why does the city want to turn our first floors into basements to purportedly fix something that is not a problem? Please, Miami Beach, don't do this to our neighborhood.

It is also important to know: What is the rationale for the City of Miami Beach utilizing the "design build" contract model and under this model how can the City exert control over the means and methods chosen to perform the construction services?
