I love to bike, but don't feel I can safely ride around the whole lake. A safe trail would be a God-send!

I lived on that highway for 15 years. I’ve seen all kinds of accidents from cars to motorcycles to bicycles big trucks and little trucks. I’ve seen folks who have been maimed for life, people who have passed away and folks that have been hurt or scarred silly along that stretch of highway. This part of the lakes links trail is important. Probably the most important one to make sure it’s done safely. Please extend the funding date to get this project done.
Thank you
Paul A. Carlson.

I ride my bike around the lake. 244 is the most dangerous stretch.

This is maybe the most dangerous part for this biking or running around the lake. And upgrade greatly needed.

I ride around the lake on my bicycle 3 to 4 times a week during the summer, fall and spring. The most dangerous part of our ride is Dellwood. So far in our group 2 of us have had near fatal injuries on the ride in the last five years. One occurred in Dellwood and one in white bear lake.
We still love to ride and take as many safety precautions as possible.
I can’t wait until the bike route is complete and hope Dellwood proceeds with their support.

People will continue to walk, run, and bike around our beautiful White Bear Lake, and they need to do this safely! Please have a carefully planned access to this amazing area for anyone who wants to enjoy our area. It enhances value to all homeowners, residents, renters, visitors. We are in a major metropolitan area with four delightful seasons. Anyone can enjoy our area, and they need to do this safely. A well planned trail will do this.

Having this bike trail completed will adad another amenity to living in the northeast metro area. It’s a win-win for all entities involved.

Hi Dellwood,
Hopefully you can come up with a viable way to bike safely through your community when going around the lake. Its rather scary the way it is. Thanks!

Having safe access to walk/bike around White Bear Lake has been long desired and needed. As a driver, I would also love to have walker/bikers on a safer path in that area versus the dangerous encounters today

The Lake Links trail as developed so far has been a beautiful and hospitable asset for the White Bear Lake community. (We're on Lake Avenue, in the downtown area.) Please support a safe and respectful completion around the lake!
