I am sick and tired of people who are in the position to hold other's back! I have been out of work for almost 2 years now, I was laid-off from my job of 13 years in January 2009, My unemployment has ceased and I am left with Nothing! I was hoping that my old company would hire me back. To make a long story short, around 1995, My now husband had purchased me a Dodge Sundance and my younger daughter (15 yrs old) at the time had stole my car along with 2 of her cousins at 12:00 midnight decided to go joy riding, This was terrifying for me! Therefore when she returned I disciplined her! and the city of Minneapolis, State of Minnesota decided that this was inappropriate and in their minds was "Malicious Punishment of a Child" The cops came and asked my daughter if she wanted to go to a safe house, the answer was "NO" there were no hospital admission nor a medical report describing any kind of "MALICIOUS" infliction upon my daughter, but yet I have this terrible thing hanging over my head labeling me as a monster! And this is causing me employment opportunities! I paid my dues and all I want is my Life back! I'm tired of people turning me down because of something that happened years ago! I have a family and bills to pay, How am I suppose to survive? I know there are others who have similar situations and need to take a stand, well now; this is your chance to step up and make a difference! Something have to change, we deserve to be heard, seen, and treated as human beings. I am asking for this petition to be signed so that ALL people are given a chance to prove their worthy. I need people to see me for who I am today and leave yester years along! Stop holding my past against me, for I am a changed person and deserves to be given a chance to prove myself. this is not too much to ask. Thank You
