LADNER VILLAGE 6-STOREY BUILDING PROPOSAL - Dunbar / Bridge & Elliott St.

This building will only the first one of many more to come. The reality is that the Municipality is executing a long term plan that is on the making as we speak. These approvals have been given unilaterally. We demand to get to know not one building at a time but the overall plan for the next 20 years. We want to know who the stakeholders of these buildings are. We may be surprised

I AM TOTALLY AGAINST THE PROPOSAL AS PRESENETED. Less stories and more heritage in the design !

I say NO to the proposed development

I'm disappointed in the scope and lack of consideration by Delta Council for the heritage feel of Ladner Village, no one wants the feel of 3rd and Wesminister Hwy in Richmond for the Vilaage of Ladner

I agree with the reject and revise of this petition. Keep this site commercial with exterior parking. Two stories maximum. If the developer can’t make money, they should sell the property. Speculators shouldn’t bank on our community and city council allowing a development which doesn’t make sense in the core of Ladner village

I totally support a revision to this project, for all the reasons given.

I am not against development in the Village, but feel the form and character doesn't fit in with the current proposed design. I believe a 4 storey building could be still profitable. I've heard that the developer cannot make money unless it is 6 stories, which confuses me. I was recently at 4th and Maple in Kitsalano and there was a building under construction (commercial & residential) that was only 4 stories high. Land and development costs are higher in Vancouver. My question to you is if a developer in Kitsalano can build at 4 storeys why can a developer not in Ladner?

This proposal destroys the heritage look and feel of the village and is not appropriate. It would be the beginning of the end of Ladner Village.

Please, not in the village!!

Don't permit this monstrosity to be built! It will ruin our quaint village, create congestion in the heart of the town, exacerbate the pressure on the town's infrastructure to support such densification, and will cause those who aren't within walking distance of the wonderful shops in town to go and shop else where.

I fully agree with the position laid out in this petition. It is well prepared and reflects the concerns wishes of Ladner residents, tax-payers and voters.

I am not against development, but I would like to see the size and design be more fitting with the current historic Ladner Village. Many small towns maintain their charm and quaintness with developing buildings that are size and style appropriate. Fort Langley is a good example. Ladner should follow their lead and the village will thrive with people wanting to visit or move to Lander to enjoy it's charm. The building that is being proposed will only turn Ladner into a typical suburb with no thought to maintaining it's history and charm

6 stories is too high. I live and own in this area and this greatly affects the residents already situated here. No infrastructure is suitable to deal with the increased density and traffic flow this project will cause

Please keep ladner’s charm and don’t allow more than 4 stories in our village. Will affect the light and look of the village.
