Help Indeed Brewing Co. build a Mother's Room

Come on now....

Providing a clean, welcoming area for mom’s to pump or nurse is so important.

What a great idea! I hope more businesses provide a space like this for customers.

Indeed Brewing is demonstrating the exact sort of good corporate citizenship that we should expect from every company. I strongly support this initiative.

As a woman who has made a career in the beer industry, there are enough hurdles to jump, give us something.

I'm a mom who visits the building & lives in the neighborhood so this is important for me to support other moms.

Please support breastfeeding and pumping moms!

At Solar Arts, we strongly agree employers should provide a discrete nursing space for their employees - it's a no-brainer! And MN Stat 181.939 makes it clear it's the employer's responsibility to do so. As such, we're perplexed why Indeed has chosen not to create lactation space in the 15,000 square feet they manage. They built a break room for employees on-site, and there is nothing stopping them from creating a lactation room, too. At one point, we even lined up a separate suite/office for them to rent, but they decided to back out at the last minute. We strongly encourage Indeed to follow the lead of responsible employers everywhere and make their workplace compliant. Maybe if they get enough signatures on this petition they will take action! The space they want is private artist space and only open to the public 20 days or so each year. In the meantime, Solar Arts will instead continue to provide free space to women and community groups like the Women's Art Resources of Minnesota and Girls On The Run and many other non-profits to support fundraising efforts, as we have for the last several years.

As a nursing mother, you wouldn't believe how awkward it is to go anywhere where i have to nurse in public. Old guys staring, young couples slightly outraged and the baby hates being covered when he's eating. It's a fight for everyone, and I'm the one who's left feeling like I've done something wrong. A space to take care of my child is always welcome and makes me feel like I'm wanted there, too.

As a nursing mother - it makes a big difference to have a nice, clean space to nurse my little one or pump. This is a great addition to any building !

Do the right thing.

Nursing parents deserve a clean comfy space to provide food for their babies!

Why on earth would you be opposed to this? Whether it's guests at Indeed or employees who need to pump, you need to support it if you can. If you've been paying any attention at all, you'll know Americans food is generally crap. Breast milk is the best shot a baby has to get started off on the right foot. Support it.

I am a taproom enthusiast and a nursing mother. Women seek out businesses and buildings that are breastfeeding friendly. I make choices on where I spend my time and money based on whether or not I can easily and safely care for my son in a clean space. Build a mother's room! You won't regret it.
