I believe that Labour can change our country for the better but on the issue of self ID and sex work I fear what a Labour govt will mean for women's rights. I don't want to join in the belief that the left cares little for women once they start speaking up for themselves, but the party's stance on this is making me think that way.

I am no longer in the Labour Party as I felt I had no place there due to their policies on woman’s space and sex based rights for worn.

I was knocking on doors. Now I'm knocking my head off a wall. I'd quite like a party I can vote for.

Women must have the right to speak out without fear or fear of hatred towards them for here and now and for future generations

It seems the NHS has replaced the word sex (biological), with gender (sociology?) on all it's medical forms over the last 5 years. I'm aware that gender means imposed social roles and conditions that impact on people because of their biological sex BUT culturally the word has ambiguous or conflicting meanings at the moment, and I expect they've changed the forms as a response to trans activism. Obviously it's important to know the sex of patients, since men and women are physiologically different and not knowing will skew their data gathering over time. When the NHS shies away from biological terms, we really are in an ideological pickle. I applied to a biological study with a London University, their form asked if my gender was Male/Female/ Other. When I spoke to the researchers they hadn't considered the fact that allowing people to self ID might distort their results. They did change the question to M/F, but since I have no medical background I don't think I should be the one to have to point this out. I suppose it's just what they do now.

The time to defend women's hard won rights in this country is at hand. This movement must spread across the West and everyone must remember there are huge swathes of the world in Africa and Asia where women remain oppressed by both culture and religion.

I hope this Declaration gives hope to all those women who've been intimidated for holding the view that we are oppressed because of our sex - you are not alone.
