Agreed on all counts. However, although it all sounds good but, sadly, you need to clarify what it is to be a woman. Adult Human Female or else this is meaningless.

I stopped my direct debit/membership of LP a couple of weeks ago as didn’t want to contribute to an organisation which is steadfast to throw hard won rights of women under the bus in order to placate extremists (mostly men). I joined to help elect Starmer but am extremely disappointed with his silence on this issue.

I am one statement away from leaving the Labour Party. Rosie Duffield standing up for my rights against the insidious misogynistic trans ideology which seems to have completely captured the Party is the only reason I have a tiny slither of faith left. How dare the likes of Nandy and Long-Bailey pledge to destroy sex based rights and expel any dissenting voice from the Party. This is undemocratic and authoritarian.

Not putting my real name as terrified of the no-platforming, cancelling, bullying and death threats from the TRAs. Have a young family to protect

Women fought for their rights. We refuse to give them up again to men and petulant children who refuse to see the bigger picture! Sex matters. Sex NOT gender. Free Speech Matters.

I strongly support this petition and am deeply concerned at the harassment, abuse and intimidation of women who merely express the biological reality of their sex and call for the recognition of their sex-based rights as enshrined in law. The silencing and censorship involved is an alarming trend that should be explicitly condemned by the leadership of the Labour Party. My party membership and vote depends on this.

The so-called 'party for women' must put their money where their mouth is and protect our sex-based rights! Women cannot vote for any party which pretends not to recognise biological sex.

Wake up rather than woke up to womens rights Labour. We make up 52% of the electorate so stop pandering to the 0.03% of transactivists attempting to erase us

It is vital that Labour protects the safety and dignity of women and girls.

Lisa Nandy and Rebecca Long-Bailey signed a pledge calling for Labour members fighting to maintain their sex-based protections to be thrown out of the party. Labour must stop dismantling women-only spaces and services and attacking people who describe themselves as exclusively same-sex-oriented. Labour should not undermine and exclude LGBT members who fundamentally disagree with Stonewall, Pink News and Diva magazine's lobbying to make it illegal to restrict any space or service—including changing rooms, hospital wards or rape-crisis centres—to just one sex. Or their Lobbying to replace “sex” with “gender identity” so that anyone who declares themselves exclusively attracted to people of the same sex has become a bigot.

I will be leaving the party if they don’t respond appropriately, after 40 years a member.

Welcome the Declaration and it’s objective to achieve a Labour Party Policy that recognises rights of Women and transgenders.

Can Labour please start standing up for women on the basis of their sex, and please start protecting children from gender ideology and the government-funded lobby groups that promote it? I find myself in the very strange position of supporting the Tories, and would really prefer not to do that. Labour is not going to get into government, if it dismisses 51% of the population.

I don't vote Labour as a rule and their stance on trans rights in which the rights of male people who identify as women have more weight than women's to spaces free of men annoys me. It is refreshing to see a "sex, not gender" approach being taken here and I support this petition. Equality means "as well as," not "instead of."
