The women I employed in the warehouse where I was Operations Manager were paid the same rate as the men and equal opportunities this was in the 1980's. My Union was USDAW.

I implore you to pay attention and respect to women - women born female-bodied, if clarification is needed - raising very serious concerns on threats to sex-based rights, which are biologically immutable and protected under equality law.

Having just become a Labour Party member, I was worrying that I was going to have to immediately leave as women's rights seem to be being dismantled by the Party. Thank goodness I found you - due to The Times - perhaps there is hope.

I want the Labour Party to acknowledge there is a safety issue of men in women’s single sex spaces and to acknowledge trans women are born men , which you cannot change.

Labour is massively failing women. Through it’s clumsy reaction to issues that need considerable refining around trans rights it has shown itself to be unworthy of women’s support. Having been excluded from what was my local CLP women’s group for urging it to always centre women’s rights in its debate I, like many, have lost all faith in Labour to effectively campaign and legislate for the genuine equality of women. It is failing us with every flippant comment. Labour can’t ever win again without the support of women. A Labour Party that blatantly prioritises other protected characteristics when our patriarchal country slides ever backwards and sidelines and ridicules women is not deserving of our vote or our time. Urgent action is needed.

I won’t be voting for you until you demonstrate clear and unequivocal commitment to upholding women’s sex-based rights.

I have voted Labour all my life but I will not be voting for them next election if they persist in this attack on women's rights. Starmer needs to apologize for the child exploitation scandals also.

About time someone in Labour spoke up for Women’s Rights

I am retired, but incensed about what is being done to women’s hard won rights, especially by the trans activists. We have a problem with the Scottish government who will deny the Greens nothing.

Gender self identification poses a real and undeniable threat to the safety of girls and women. I beg you to research Autogynephilia and not dismiss every woman’s genuine, experience-based concerns as “transphobia”.

Women are being let down by Labour, by refusing to recognize that biological sex is important and we need safeguarding in place.

I was a party member, but left because Labour doesn’t seem able to acknowledge the needs of women, or even which of us actually are women.

Agree with this group

Women and girls have had to fight for every single legal right we have. Now, as those rights are being diminished and undermined, Labour expects women to remain dutifully silent while the words we use to describe ourselves are sacrificed on the altar of wokeness. Why must women have to fight endlessly just for the right to be here? Why must we battle for the freedom to talk about our experiences? We are women and must be able to talk about our bodies and our lives unimpeded and in safety. Women have the right to describe our unique biology, unimpeded by ideologies based on fantasy. If politicians cannot say the word woman or speak about biological reality, then they really don't deserve the position they hold as they no longer represent women - 51% of the population.
