JERRY KRAMER for the Pro Football Hall of Fame [MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!]

Most deserving non- elected HOF who ever played the game - and a GREAT guy

At a time when so many past NFL players lobby for a place among the NFL shrine, Mr. Kramer has remained above such frivolity. His career stands equal to or surpasses many who are now currently enshrined in Canton. Having lived in Canton my entire life, and having been a Packers fan when I was a child, I support the effort to get Mr. Kramer his rightful place in the Hall. As the previous entry states, #64 of the Green Bay Packers should have been in the Hall 20 years ago.

I was really surprised to find out that Jerry Kramer is not already in the Hall. I just assumed that he was. He's obviously one of the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history, and he deserves the nod.

What are we waiting for? After he's dead will be tragically too late. He's one of the greatest players of all time and from what I'm told a really great guy as well.

The greatest travesty in professional sports. Jerry Kramer belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Jerry Kramer also served as the team's place kicker in 1962, 1963, and part of 1968. As a kicker, he kicked 29 field goals, 90 extra points, for a total of 177 points. He also kicked 3 field goals and 1 extra point in the Packers 16-7 victory over the New York Giants in the 1962 NFL title game..

Just get it done. Jerry belongs in the hall of fame.

Jerry was a key figure in the signature play for the Packers of the 1960's: the power sweep. He was also a key figure in the play that won the ice Bowl: Starr's QB sneak. I had the chance to meet him a couple times and found him to be very warm and affable. He clearly deserves this honor.

Jerry Kramer was also on the NFL all decade team of the 1960's. He should have been elected to the NFL Hall of Fame 40 years ago!!!

It's ridiculous and insulting that this classic, outstanding, accomplished class act of a player STILL isn't in the HOF. Maybe it's not game stats but his great books were an inspiration to kids back then to get interested in Pro Football.

I have read Instant Replay every year at the beginning of football season. I has never failed to motivate me. I wore his number in high school and college in tribute to him. His recognition by the Hall of Fame is sorely overdue.

The longer Jerry is left out, the more of a joke the Hall becomes. Every living Packer in the Hall should ask to have their name remove from the Hall. Teams stick together and Packet greats need to stand together and stick it to the Hall!

Native New Englander and Pats fan, but the first sports book I ever read was Kramer's Instant Replay. I was hooked on the game after reading that and became a lifelong fan of the game and admirer of Lombardi's Packers. Jerry Kramer belongs on that HOF O-Line as much as John Hannah. He personifies the definition of winner and perseverance. He deserves this honor now, while he is on this earth.

Jerry Kramer was the best pulling guard I ever saw. Taylor and Hornung would not be in the HOF without the blocking of Thurston and Kramer.

The absence of Kramer detracts from the Hall and makes selection look arbitrary or happenstance. Selected to the all first 50 yr team but not to the hall?

Had the privilege of meeting Mr. Kramer at the alumni tailgate party prior to the Seahawks game a dedicated Packer icon.

Watched Jerry play as a kid - he succeeded on every play with every assignment - he was and still is today our teacher when it came to perseverance. Jerry's performance and character on and off the field are what the HOF is all about. Thanks, from me and my boys Jerry and God bless.

I read Kramer's books in the 7th Grand and wore #64 in his honor in both high school and college. How can he be included on the 50 year team and be the only one not in the Hall? It is a travesty!

Mr. Kramer was an idol and a magnificent example to boys like myself during his tenure with Green Bay. It is ridiculous that Jerry Kramer is not in the Hall of Fame. The latest old timer selection, also an offensive lineman, does not have the stats the Kramer has. It is only because they do not want so many Packers from that era. Besides his stats, his book Instant Replay had a great influence on many from my generation. I read that even Roger Goodell was shocked that he was NOT in the Hall of Fame. You should be ashamed of this slight. Make the Hall of Fame complete and put Jerry Kramer in. Do the right thing.

The exclusion of Jerry Kramer from the Pro Football HOF is inexcusable and decades overdue! This man was named the outstanding guard in the history of the NFL as far back as 1969! An all time great and a first class human being. The NFL channel even lists him as the #1 overlooked candidate for the HOF that has never been enshrined as of a show broadcast on the NFL network titled "Top 10 Players Not In the HOF".

Definitely one of the Packer greats and epitomized what Green Bay Packers football was all about.

I cannot believe that Jerry Kramer is not in the Hall of Fame. Besides his accomplishments, he was a lynchpin of the green bay sweep which is one of basic plays of football. Jerry was from a era where football players were looked up to and for good reason. I am 35 yr deputy sheriff who has had to deal with the football players of today in situtations where their behavior, atitude and actions were deplorable ,in fact arrests were made. I cannot believe he is not there yet this is reason why NFL popularity is wanning .

Jerry was my hero during my high school and college football career. He and Fuzzy Thurston were the keys to the famous Packers power sweep which was the scurge of the NFL. He definitely needs to be elected into the hall of fame.

I first read "Instant Replay" when I was about 12 years old. I still consider it my favorite NFL book. I don't remember much about his playing career, but you can't argue with his stats. He belongs in the HOF.

When I was a boy growing up in Jackson, MS in the 1950's, the only NFL team we regularly saw was Green Bay. That was great for me, my Dad and my brother because Green Bay was our favorite team. I played guard in Junior HS and loved to pull and trap players like Jerry did. Also when I moved to Chicagoland for my senior year in HS and had to play blocking fullback at 152 pounds, I had trouble getting to the defensive ends on a roll out. Then I realized I could step up and act like a pulling guard. I was so small I frequently wasn't seen. FYI, I was the starting fullback and blocked for a quarterback, Jim O'Toole who won the Knute Rockne award as the best prep player in Chicagoland. Jerry Kramer was my ideal guard then and continues to be to this day. Watching him, being inspired by him made me a better player and a better person.

How Jerry Kramer is not in the Hall of Fame is beyond me. I've been an Eagles fan for over 50 years and saw Kramer play many times. There has never been a better lead blocker on a sweep than Kramer. Plus his book "Instant Replay" solidified ne as a fan of the game

I grew up watching Jerry Kramer play. I wore #64 because I wanted to be the best. Not having Mr. Kramer in the Hall of Fame diminishes the honor that the other inductees must feel.

Please let's get Jerry Kramer into Canton while he is still here to participate in the induction.

I lived in Milwaukee when Lumbardi turned that team around. It was great being a fan. Jerry played his position as well as any other player on that team who is in Canton. I can remember Hornung or Taylor hanging on to the back of his shirt as they turned the corner. Correct the insult !

I watched Jerry and his block some odd 50 years ago in the ice bowl. He was the best right guard in the league. I also read Instant Reply when I was 16 years old. There is no reason that he should not be in the hall of fame for what he has accomplished in the NFL. How can he be named as a guard in the NFL 50th anniversary team and not be in the HALL. The people who elect the hall members need to get off their high horse and look at what Jerry has done. He deserves to be in. Please make this happen.

I watched Jerry Kramer as I was contemplating playing football myself. He was an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others who may not have had the tools to be a running back or receiver, the positions that being the attention and accolades. I was a lineman through junior high, high school and college. It was inspirational to see a player that was a large part of the success of his team but didn't need the spot light. It is a shame that the man that gave as much to the game both on and off the field and inspired many people is not enshrined yet. Please right this tragic wrong.

It's equally a matter of the Hall of Fame earning the credibility that justifies its existence. Without former players such as Jerry Kramer, the Hall is nothing more than a cheap publicity stunt and its purpose is questionable.

In regard to performance, character, and representation, Jerry Kramer has been the model of excellence. He made his fans proud, his teammates proud, and Vince Lombardi proud. He earned respect and recognition around the league, and his articulateness and variety of remarkable skill sets have earned him respect and recognition in non-football contexts. His omission from the Pro Football Hall of Fame is incomprehensible.

I watched the Packers battle my Colts as a boy. Jerry was a key part of incredaible Packer running game.

In the 1960's there was no offensive guard that was better than Kramer. He was like a son to Lombardi and he played the game because he loved football. It wasn't about money. I have always been a Packer fan and when I found out that my father-in-law played high school football with Jerry I was awestruck, My son will be playing football in a D1 college and Jerry has inspired my son. Denying Jerry his rightful place and personage in the Hall of Hall is a travesty to a man who has been an asset and ambassador to the entire game of football, not only the players, coaches, and teams, but to the fans, to the young boys who play football in little league, optimist, school and who dream of one day playing on the field for a college, or aspiring to the NFL. These ambassadors, who inspire generations, need to be championed and heralded as the legends they are. Jerry Kramer is that legend, that dominating hero who's soft spoken gift of tireless work, dedication and inspiration, the game of football will sorely miss someday. Please don't make that someday too long, Jerry deserves to hear the words and be welcomed into the Hall of Fame where so many of this team mates already are. In closing, the only words I can say are "Jerry deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, He's worked his entire life for it" Thank you.

It is incredible to me that you can be named to the First team of the first 50 years of the NFL and still not be in the HOF. I don't care how many of his teammates have been elected to the Hall. It is an individual honor. Do the right thing, at long last, put this man where he belongs.

A football team is only as good as the guys protecting the QB and blocking for the RB's. With that said, Mr. Kramer was a major complement of the Lombardi Packers championship teams. His nomination in the NFL's 50th Anniversary All-Time team should not be taken lightly.

I have served on the Packers Hall of Fame board for 25 years. I am a Past President of the HOF and have sat on the Selection Committee. This has afforded me the opportunity to be around many skilled NFL executives and former players. I have yet to find one that does not believe Jerry Kramer should be in the NFL HOF. It is time to elect Jerry.

Got to see him play in person,A great Player, Hope he gets in. Way long over do.

Would love to see Jerry in he already is a HOFer in everyone's mind so lets celebrate this man while he is still here with us there is no way this wouldn't mean more to anyone else other than him.

My father gave me Jerry's book, Instant Replay when I was 8 years old in 1974. It made the biggest impression on me, I thought about the lessons learned from that book throughout high school and college.. He taught me what it meant to be a man. Jerry is the #1 player in my Hall of Fame already. He's my hero. I'm so glad 40 years later that he shared his story with me.

I have been to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and I have vowed never to return until Jerry Kramer has been enshrined. I have been a Packer fan my entire life and I am grateful that I was able to see the 60s Packers play. Vince Lombardi the man that the Super Bowl Trophy is named for once said Jerry Kramer is the greatest right guard in professional football! Green Bay fans everywhere need to get behind this!

NFL HOF get this great player into the Hall BEFORE he passes away. If he has to wait til 2020 (per what I'm reading now) shame on you! I watched him as a kid in WI and I'm 60 now...what is the deal with the selection committee???

I was watching the HOF ceremony last night on ESPN and thought about Jerry Kramer. He deserves to get in to hall. A great member of many great teams. Sad the he has waited this long.

A mind-numbing omission.

Jerry Kramer is a class act. Its a no brainer for him to be in the hall but for the life of me they snub him. Please honor this man before he passes on. You will proud to have him. He helped make the NFL what it is today. The fans will love it.

Kramer was an instrumental player in the Packers' early NFL titles and Super Bowl wins. He has been a class act the entire time and is what the NFL should be about. Do not tarnish the Pro Football Hall of Fame by not inducting Jerry Kramer. I run into him occasionally in Green Bay and he always makes time to talk to you and shake your hand.

You're the only ones who can make this happen, there are guys who are far less deserving that are in the Hall. Let's get serious!

Kramer was a six-time All-Pro (five first-team honors) at right guard and also went to three Pro Bowls. No. 64 was also on the NFL All-Decade team for the 1960s. In addition to all that, Kramer was also a member of the NFL's 50th anniversary team in 1969. Kramer is the only member of that team not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I grew up in Wisconsin during the Packers "Glory Years" and Jerry Kramer was a key ingredient of the Lombardi dynasty. I have written several times to the Hall of Fame requesting that Jerry Kramer be inducted as he richly deserves.

It would be a long time coming

I grew up watching the Packers dominate the NFL in the 60's. Jerry Kramer was a household name who embodied the desire; determination; dedication to pursue excellence. I played right guard varsity high school football 2 years 75/76 and we ran the power sweep. If I recall I ran my part just like Jerry Kramer! O'l 64!!! He belongs in Canton.

It is and has been a travesty that Jerry Kramer is not in the NFL Hall of Fame. He should be recognized for his talent, accomplishments, and career and not be excluded because he was a Green Bay Packer.

Reading his book as a child is what made me a football fan, a Packer fan and a Kramer fan all my life. How many fans did he create for the game by writing a book?

He was a key blocker for Hall of Famers Bart Starr and Jim Taylor. He was the leverage of Lombardi’s patented sweep play. He was a first-team All-Pro guard five times and second-team once. He was named one of the two guards on the NFL’s 50th-year anniversary team.

In my humble opinion, some of the most exciting football ever played was when Jerry Kramer was part of the great Green Bay Packers team! He deserves induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is unbelievable that Jerry Kramer is not in the hall of fame.he was simply the very best guard in the NFL for a DECADE 5 time ALLPRO FIRST team was the guard that was the lead blocker for GB power sweep that put Starr, Taylor, Hornung in Hall of Fame plus 5time world champs. Why or how could a voter NOT vote for Kramer? I am astounded, look at his resume and accomplishments maybe younger voters dont realize how good this guy was.

How many other offensive linemen can most people even name ? Especially from half a century ago. He belongs in.

Never could understand why Kramer wasn't in on the first ballot. Ir's long overdue to correct this error. Billy Shaw and Joe D are in and#64 isn't? IMO he was better than both. If Vince was alive he would have raised hell about this!

I've been a Dallas Cowboy fan since 1962, so I remember well Jerry's block in the ice bowl. Nevertheless, give him the nod, he deserves it!
