Govt can try and concentrate on improving the Govt hospitals/ facilities and the healthcare infrastructure so that they can challenge private hospital in terms of quality of healthcare delivery. This competitive situation would naturally put the private healthcare providers under pressure to deliver more cost effectively. This is a long term and more sustainable, win-win solution. Our politicians are never known have long term vision/commitment for nation building. This is the biggest concern for all of us. Instead they are always looking towards short term, seemingly populist measures. I oppose the current move of the state Govt.
