It is the professional's right to fix his fees. First cleanse the corruption within the government (subregistrar office, jilla panchayath, urban development authorities, RTO office). Most of the doctors are doing honest service. Why not fix the rates for lawyers, 5 star hotels etc.

Please withdraw the act completely. Let the government make rules for the government hospitals first and make them efficient, corruption free, readily available to every citizen, improve the quality of care. After that look at private setup. Clean ur home first....
