Spoke with a number of people last night and today and so many would love to have a kosher place to go to after Shabbos and on Sunday. If the place is clean, affordable with quality food, they can be assured of support and with the lower east side becoming more of a destination, it would win shoppers and tourists too. It is a wise investment for Seward Park to ensure community has a diversity of food establishments and accomodate the hundreds of families that this matters to.

A kosher restaurant is a necessity rather than luxury for Seward Park. My family lives there. I visit frequently and enjoy dining out. Please bring this vital business to Seward Park which will improve the economy as well as social fabric of the community. Thank you.

A kosher place to eat that is very clean , good and affordable is in imperative
I support this effort. Even though I don't keep kosher, I would still eat in a kosher restaurant. It's importiant for the diversity of the community

The only way a kosher restaurant can survive in this neighborhood these days is to appeal to a broad clientele. A kosher deli will never compete with Katz's. The restaurant that will survive is a restaurant that has broad appeal, but is mamash kosher. Good luck to whomever is trying to serve our community.

If business was available for a kosher restaurant, a kosher resturant would be able to remain open. The LES is a shell of what it used to be and if Noah's Ark wasn't able to survive, how will another? Having seating for 60 people so 4 customers can have dinner is silly and apparently was not a good business model. Maybe a take-out with 2 tables will be suited for the remaining Jewish neighborhood.
