The students at La Cueva High School of APS believe that that actions of Joseph Kony and the LRA must be stopped by the end of the year 2012. More than a third of the 100 senators introduced a bipartisan resolution Wednesday condemning Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army for their “unconscionable crimes against humanity” in central Africa, including rapes, murders and child abductions. House members are giving floor speeches about Kony. Some senators are discussing how to create a bounty for Kony’s capture or death. We hope that if New Mexican congress members haven’t signed the resolution, this petition will persuade you to do so. This is a very important issue in the world, and New Mexico would be making the right decision by signing this resolution.
