Dear Board of Directors at Konami Holdings Corporation,

We, fanatics and consumers of your Silent Hill franchise of products, have heard Konami's announcement that the company is refocusing its efforts towards mobile gaming and machines for casinos and pachinko parlors. In the best interests of everyone involved, we therefore humbly ask that you cede the right to further intellectual property of the Silent Hill franchise; as well as the rights to profits from the aforementioned franchise's further installments and their related merchandise; to Kojima Productions Corporation, Limited.

We, who have signed this petition, agree that with the release of P.T. (officially by 7780s Studio) and the promise of a new installment to the franchise, Silent Hills (which would have been directed by Hideo Kojima), the last hope for a Silent Hill game that would satisfy the series' fans lay with Mr. Kojima. However, upon the cancellation of Silent Hills; the removal of P.T. from the PlayStation Store; and Mr. Kojima's subsequent departure from your company, your previous consumers have commenced a global boycott of your products. Konami's very name has been blacklisted by much of the gaming industry in protest, even in the field of mobile gaming.

While we respect your corporation's reorientation towards mobile entertainment, we have absolutely no interest in purchasing any Konami products, Silent Hill or otherwise, as long as it holds the rights to license, produce, and profit from any further Silent Hill-related materials. The only way for you to turn a profit from this franchise henceforth is to sell its rights to another console-gaming corporation invested in the series. As Kojima Productions have already proven, they are interested in and more than capable of nourishing the needs of Silent Hill consumers. These very consumers' needs must be met in order to dissolve their worldwide, solemnly damning sentiments towards the Konami Group.

We ask you, Directors, to forego any and all negative emotions concerning cooperation with Kojima et al., and to put the fate of the Silent Hill franchise back in the hands of committed creators.
