The advent of an airport to a decadent region like Kodumon would provide many basic infrastructure to its surroundings starting with good cellular connectivity. The installation of the airport in Kodumon would simplify the travel procedure for the residents of corresponding regions who are forced to traverse long distances to reach a nearby airport. Proximity to Pathanamthitta district capital and its closeness to Sabarimala also calls for its establishment in Kodumon that has land under revenue department thus clearing the legal and administrative hassle.

It would be more useful for the public if the proposed Shabrimala Greenfield airport is shifted to Kodumon. Sufficient land and approach to the nearby cities is also available from Kodumon.
