To: Knox County School Board
Superintendent Bob Thomas
We, the student’s of Knox County schools, respectfully request that you remove the requirement for masks in KCS . We do not want to wear masks because
- Wearing a mask makes it harder to breathe.
- Wearing masks makes it hard to hear quiet people. Furthermore, masks make it difficult to communicate with the hearing impaired.
- Wearing a mask takes away our ability to see what others maybe feeling.
- Moisture collecting on the inside of the mask creates a breeding ground for germs, which could cause diseases such as pneumonia. Also, it is just plain gross.
We respect the right of others to wear a mask, but we ask you to not require us to wear a mask. But we feel that masks are detrimental to our education.
Doesn’t make any sense as to why children have to wear them most the day, but we go into a restaurant and sit without one. Statistic doesn’t back having to wear one!
