The board members are not elected and do not make laws or mandates. Our elected officials should uphold our rights. We the people are responsible for our own health. No mask mandates.

The board members that are appointed by commission must be removed and new ones appointed to are more of a reflection of our community. They must also understand that they are not elected and can not make laws or mandates on the citizens of Knox County. That is unconstitutional.

People with medical exemptions are not being allowed in doctors offices and other places. This is wrong!

As an essential worker, I have been active in the community since the beginning of the shutdowns. We all moved through the daily life without masks and maintained hygiene and stayed well. The masks are making people sick. For 8 weeks, people I saw on a daily basis worked everyday and were healthy. Forcing people who work outside to wear masks is beyond ridiculous. The spokesperson for Knox County Health Dept said you had to have contact for 7 minutes or longer for the virus to effectively spread. Remove the entrance and exit restrictions at stores and restaurants. I know the virus is real. It also has a 99.9% survival rate. I still do not personally know anyone who has been hospitalized from it. I do know 4 people who have been hospitalized for drug resistant bacterial upper respiratory infections and one of those people did die—non covid related. These mandates have done great harm to my small business. My husband has also permanently lost his job.

I agree with this petition. Knox County Health Board has overstepped their authority. It' time to remove them from their service.
