Agri Feed Pet Supply strongly supports the Knox County Board of Health and its continuation in providing guidelines for the health of our community.

This is a ludicrous situation from the uninformed wrestler, displaying his vast ignorance. We have a board of health for a very good reason. Let them do their unenviable but important jobs.

We need medical facts to keep us safe, not politics that don't prioritize the health of the people!

I do believe that the BOH should be left alone to do its job. However; I do believe that the board should be expanded and have 3 or 4 SMALL local business owners on it.

Commissioners, please do not kill us by substituting extremist ideology for facts and scientific analysis. Because that is the substance of the proposals to overthrow our Board of Health. The first duty of government is to protect our safety. We are members of a community with responsibilities to each other, not rabid predators with no consideration for anyone else. And yet, as long as they advance their business investments and their ideology of Me Me Me, some people don't care if they spread COVID far and wide. They profess concern about lawsuits, but there is no constitutional right to spread plague any more than there is a constitutional right to speed through stop signs, pollute our water supply, set fires, park cars on I-40, hand out opioids to schoolkids or take advantage of public services without paying taxes. The very notion is absurd. If you are afraid of lawsuits, you won’t make arbitrary life and death decisions based on magical thinking rather than rigorous research. You will be concerned about the hundreds of families who grieve for their loved ones, or end up caring for people who have been crippled for life. Have you set aside hundreds of millions in the Knox County budget to pay for settlements with these folks? And do you think we won't remember how you acted in this crisis? During a contagion mandating masks and limiting gatherings is absolutely what our government should be doing, because the data supports it. Anything else is selfish, irresponsible and deadly. It’s our first responders, police and nurses and EMTs, who are most at risk. We all have a duty to help protect them. People who knowingly infect others should go to jail, not be emboldened. As always, we have to balance safety concerns with the health of our economy. Let the trained professionals make these judgments. They make mistakes too, but by following the data they will come a lot closer to the greatest good for the greatest

The Knox Co. Board of Health has an unenviable job. They deserve our support and should not be attacked by politicians.

I fully support the Knox County Board of Health, their decisions, and expertise...who have the sole purpose and goal to guide us in the safest, best ways through this pandemic crisis, using their skills, wisdom, and expertise based upon the highest scientific and medical knowledge and practices.
