Knox Countians Support Knox County Board Of Health

Keep the Board of Health & its powers intact! It should not be diluted further with non-professionals or have its power given to non-medical authorities.

Thank you for trying to keep us safe. I appreciate everything you are doing.

I am a previously healthy 52 year old Knox County resident. 10 weeks ago, I contracted COVID. I’ve been battling the virus ever since. I spent 6 weeks so sick that I was totally debilitated and unable to leave my bed. Since that time, I’ve suffered frequent, intermittent symptoms. I have had to step down from my job, and I now owe thousands in COVID-related medical care that my insurance won’t cover. We will have a vaccine soon, but until that time, we have to do our civic duty just as, for example, people living on the West Coast were required to turn their lights off at night during WWII to prevent possible Japanese attack. This wasn’t an assault on their liberties. It was wise, temporary public policy designed to protect hundreds of thousands of people. We are in the same situation with COVID right now. Trust me, you DO NOT want to catch this virus. Even if you don’t end up in the ICU or dead, you may end up, as I have, with severe symptoms that go on for weeks or montbsz

We need these folks to maintain control over deadly viruses and other harmful diseases. Stop this dangerous herd mentality!! Have some consideration for others!

Please follow the law, heed medical professionals’ discernment, and show respect for the health and the desires of Knox County citizens and retain the Knox County Board of Public Health.

Without science, human would be no longer existed.

Listen to the science, believe the experts, and demand more concern for the welfare of the population of Knox County than is currently being demonstrated by the commission.

I fully support the Knox County Board of Health, and fully recognize its authority, as decided on many years ago.
