Knox Countians Support Knox County Board Of Health

I support and appreciate the efforts of the Board of Health to keep the public safe during this challenging time. Public health decisions should be made by those who actually have knowledge about the subject.

Thank you for your service and I am sorry you are being threatened.

Our Board of Health as well as the Knox County Health Department under the leadership of Dr. Martha Buchanan have acted with absolute professionalism and dedication. Their decision to require masks saved lives and has allowed businesses to safely remain open. Any attempt to discredit them for political gain is highly irresponsible and shows callous regard for the well-being of our fellow citizens. We are all in this together. Personal sacrifice for the good of our neighbor is at the heart of our shared beliefs. Wearing a mask during this pandemic is a small sacrifice to ensure that as many people as possible remain not just alive, but also healthy and active in the economy. Now is the time to demonstrate our commitment to “love thy neighbor” by wearing a mask!.

I feel MUCH safer shopping and going out with a mask mandate. Without, I will stay home and not spend money in the community.

Public health, not politics.

I think the Knox County Board of Health is doing a good job and as an older person feel safer because of it.

Mayor Jacobs is the worst boss ever, make a secret video with Rep. Zachary to throw your county employees and volunteers under the bus.

Keep trusted experts in the driving seat and end the political power grab.

Doesn’t it make sense to have professional experts make these decisions instead of politicians worried about being re-elected?
