Thank you for implementing the mask mandate. In June I was becoming nervous about going to the grocery store and feel like your actions have helped make the majority of Knoxvillians do the smart thing in stores and other public spaces where transmission might occur.

I agree with this. We need to support the board as it is and not let any business person or politician try to alter it's construction.

I appreciate what you are doing to try to keep our citizens as safe as current knowledge and technology can. I’m sorry you have to deal with people who think that ideology and opinion are a substitute for science, research, knowledge and experience.

Thank you for keeping safety measures in place that allow my medically vulnerable husband to continue to work and me to safely shop at local businesses. Without those measures I would have to shop online from out-of-state companies and my husband would have to file for unemployment. Safety measures keep Tennessee in business.

Science & evidence-based decision making by experts and doctors should drive public health. To ignore experts who are held to a high standard by their professional field for the sake of political maneuvering would be a social harm and a public disgrace.

I am grateful for the work and expertise of the BOH. They give of their knowledge, care, and expertise. We are indebted to them during this time.
