People fly down the main road like its a highway. Something needs to be done before a kid gets hurt. Im all for having the police keep an eye on things.

My initial reaction is that this is a significant step for the community. While the Texas Code specifies 25% as the threshold approval, that seems low for our Community. This could get approved and implemented without broad support. Once implemented, can it be undone? I also agree with the question on what is the scope. Will the police be writing speeding and parking tickets? Such tickets would then impact both driving record and insurance record? And the earlier mention of street legal golf carts - Could that be a possible impact? I suggest a community meeting to address all the unknowns and unanswered questions.

I would like to see additional details of how this New Enforcement would be Enforced, is the plan to have a private officer and at what Additional cost to the HOA a street Electronic speed sign to alert drivers. A higher HOA won’t benefit home values in Barrington. Speed and driving is always an issue in all neighborhoods put n speed bumps

Appreciate this pro active approach. Speeding must be stopped before we have a serious accident. Start with the entrance and exit road.

Does this mean we have to deal with tickets for minor stuff? Need more info on how this affects us daily.

Would add that the 20mph speed limit remains the same.
