For students with asthma the mask impairs their breathing. Having to wear the mask for eight hours could cause a more stressful environment which would not be helpful to learning.

I’m a student at Klein oak and yesterday on September 2nd for simulation day, it was sooo hard for me to breathe with the mask on. I also had to repeat my name and other things several times because I have a deep and quiet voice. I’m not gonna speak louder so that you can hear me when I’m being made to wear a mask for 8 hours! I 100% agree with this. It should be our decision on wether or not we wear a mask.

I think mask should be an option! Especially to the children. If they don’t carry the virus why is it important for them to wear masks? I believe it should be a personal decision made by each family. this school year is stressful enough on everyone, don’t make a safe place to learn even more stressful for teachers and students.

There is a lot of evidence supporting the fact that children do not need to wear masks! The state of Texas, also does not require/mandate ANYONE under the age of 10 to wear a mask! Please let each family decide what is best for their individual families!
