Utterly shameful act by Kirklees council to even suggest any form of rise. Bad enough loosing your loved ones, to be faced with extra costs is beyond belief. Shame on you Kirklees council!

The council of Yorkshire should have an obligation to offer families in hardship a grant or subsidiaries should be offered to those on lower wages. The death tax is not considering that the diseased person has been paying taxes & National insurance all of their life, burdening them of their families with an additional unfair cost of a funeral is not something fair and is inhumane. This is an opportunity to reform our governments who give with one hand and take with two hands. I call on all M.Ps to put a motion forward to reject any increase in funeral cost and consider a change to National insurance contributions made by all to cover the cost of a grave of each individual contributed N.I or Taxes in the united kingdom.

My farther passed away not long ago 2k is alot off money but nearly doubling it is rediculious this should be withdrawn in all due respect
