This price increase is ludicrous. I feel that advantage is being taken of a difficult situation because there is no other option but to bury which allows the council to extort citizens by setting any rediculous cost. The proposed increase is approximately 75%! This is not concurrent with inflation, the economy, living costs or wage increases. This is upsetting that our council is acting in this way. This increase is not plausible!

I feel kirklees council has made difficult for residents to comfortably die even. Death tax in shape of increase in burial charges is in human. I condemn it & demand authorities to cancel this death tax.

Very sad to see this is happening. Their is no justification on such an extortionate increase in price, hitting the people when they are most distressed indeed.

Please councillors do not increase prices becsuse many people already unable to afford the final place of their rest. Many people could be left to be unburiad and may use alternative to burial due to you peopls very bad decision.

as living expenses are on the rise last thing is to hear if ur loved one passes away people will be mocking upon burial prices. how everyone is to die one day so much money for burial what if a poor person dies respect the dead u will be one of them one day inflation shouldnt strike burials in my heart thats sick of who ever came up with this idea appauling. A shame on who ever decided that. so sad yo hear this hope it doesnt go through.
