The official word has arrived that the Kindle 2 is now available for purchase in Canada. Your persistence throughout this campaign has brought about the result we sought from the beginning. Please enjoy your new readers as we move forward.
We live in Canada, and want the Kindle 2 eBook Reader just as much as those who live in the US. We've waited, we've been patient and yet there is no information from you to tell us when. What's worse, for those of us who are willing to download books using our computer, you refuse to even sell a Kindle 2 to anyone living in Canada. That is completely unfair. We want a Kindle 2 too!
Our petition is approaching two hundred and fifty signatures. Please contact your friends and family to request their participation so that we can reach this important milestone.

The momentum behind this request demonstrates a clear and urgent demand for access to these devices in Canada. This collective response confirms that the current exclusion of our market is not sustainable for the company.

I really dont get the hold up. Canada is a huge market for this stuff. You are just losing money by not shipping to us.
