To change N.Y.S graduation requirements for the Special Education. In NYS special education students are required to take Regents/RCT'S the same way as a non special education students. For some students this may be impossible to do. It doesn't matter if a student has all the credits by there school to graduate, they still need to pass all of the NYS exams. If they don't pass they get a IEP certificate that says they have completed high school. This is not a diploma and colleges don't accept it. I am asking that NYS changes there requirements so the students can graduate.
