The Kilusan Filipino High School Picnic is enjoyed by numerous of students and had a positive experience for those who attended in the past years. Unfortunately this year, this unforgettable event had landed on the day of SAT testing. In the past years, when Kilusan began in the morning, the people who wanted to participate in roll call, games, and spend the time they have there, missed a good chunk of something that can leave a happy mark. For seniors who are graduating and will not have the time to come back next year as an alumni will reminisce about the marvelous memoirs of Kilusan but have the thought, "Wow, I can't believe I missed half of one the things I look forward to each year... Can't go back and relive it now." Also,it will be the first and last time for those who never had the chance to engage in Kilusan until now. They will not be able to be a part of the great things they have been told, which will lead them to disappointment. A solution to this is changing the time. As of right now, it has been stated that Kilusan begins at 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. SAT testing releases students at 12:00 NOON. The time should considerably be changed to 11:00 AM or 12:00 NOON, therefore the people part of SAT testing will not miss much which is better than missing half of the event. Last year, Kilusan 2012 began at 12:30 PM and it had landed on SAT testing, but those students were able to attend. Signing this petition will voice out how important Kilusan is for the people taking SAT testing and they should have the opportunity to have a great experience as everyone else.
