The last expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria has given us many new characters - both noble heroes to love and evil blackguards to hate. However, one of them was an odd man out - a villain who instantly became a universally beloved figure - a mantid, the first klaxxi paragon to be met by the player character. He is called Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver.

Many players, including myself, instantly fell in love with this adorable insect - despite him being a member of an evil warrior culture centered around worshipping an eldritch abomination. This happened for a good reason - Kil'ruk is a powerful wingman, who is always there to help the player, he has a strong code of honor, but most importantly, despite being a villain, he is completely honest about his intentions and remains a good friend of PC, even when circumstances finally put them on different sides.

I believe that by being such a popular character, Kil'ruk has earned his place in Heroes of the Storm, the new MOBA game by Blizzard. After all, his dying words were a promise for us to meet him again.
