We the residents of Kilarney Pointe and concerned citizens oppose the erection of a telecommunications tower on the adjacent Public Storage site. 

Such a telecommunications tower:

1. Threatens the property values of our nearby homes as it is aesthetically unpleasing
   
2. Has a potential health risk.
   
3. Is in very close proximity to our neighborhood elementary school, Laurel Park.  Children will be playing on the playground in the shadow of this 150 foot tower. 
   
4. Is unnecessary according to AT&Ts website.  The applicant for the telecommunications tower has stated that the residential properties to the south of the proposed tower "will be improved" by their increased wireless communications. AT&T's website classifies this area as having the "best" coverage, therefore additional cell towers would appear to be unnecessary and certainly not an improvement for the residents of  Kilarney Pointe or the children of Laurel Park Elementary.
